ORGANISED SESSIONS

The PC invites the submission of proposals for organised sessions from all fields of agricultural economics and related disciplines.

Organised sessions focus on a common theme, primarily of an academic nature. However, it is also possible to propose organised sessions in which academics and other stakeholders (e.g., industry practitioners, firms, policy-makers, NGOs) interact and discuss an issue of common interest.

Organised sessions last 90 minutes and typically feature three to four oral contributions followed by comments from one or two appointed discussant(s). A slideshow (e.g., PowerPoint) is required for each oral contribution but the online submission system (ConfTool) also allows contributors to upload full papers or other types of supporting material.

The Organised Session template downloadable below identifies the information required to submit a proposal through the dedicated ConfTool form. That information includes:

·        The title and extended abstract of the session

·        The focus of the paper in terms of broad topical categories (e.g., agricultural and rural policy)

·        The name(s),  affiliation(s) and contact details of the chair person(s)

·        The author(s), title and abstract of each oral contribution

·        The name(s), affiliation(s) and contact details of at most two discussants, who should be different from the authors of the oral contributions

A PDF version of the completed template should be uploaded during the online submission process.

Deadline for submission: March 15, 2020

Deadline for Final Versions Upload: June 5, 2020

ORGANISED PANELS

The PC invites the submission of proposals for organised panels from all fields of agricultural economics and related disciplines.

Organised panels gather presentations on a common theme, which is investigated from the perspective of different stakeholder groups: academics, industry practitioners/firms, policy makers, NGOs and other societal stakeholders.

Organised panels typically feature three to four oral contributions followed by comments from one or two appointed discussant(s). A slideshow (e.g., PowerPoint) is required for each oral contribution but the online submission system (ConfTool) also allows contributors to upload full papers or other types of supporting material.

POSTERS

The PC invites submission of posters from all fields of agricultural economics and related disciplines. Posters present high quality research contributions in all areas of agricultural economics and related disciplines. Those contributions may describe original and unpublished results of a conceptual, empirical, experimental or theoretical nature. However, presentation of innovative and creative work in progress at an early (or conceptual) stage is also encouraged.

As a new feature, and subject to the resolution of technical issues, there will be the possibility to supplement the traditional poster with a short digital presentation (instructions will be given on the Congress website). This will provide digital access to posters under and after the congress and thereby increase the visibility of the posters.

Interested authors should first fill out the template for poster proposals available below before uploading the proposal to ConfTool. Submission of a proposal requires:

·        The name(s) and affiliation(s) of the authors

·        The title of the poster

·        An abstract (max. 150 words)

·        The focus of the paper in terms of broad topical categories (e.g., agricultural and rural policy)

·        Up to five keywords

·        Short descriptions of the problem at hand, research question & objectives, methods, data and results/conclusions

During the submission process in ConfTool, authors can also choose to have the abstract to be uploaded to the AgEcon search repository (if accepted).

Poster proposals will be reviewed for (a) relevance of the topic and potential for discussion, (b) originality, (c) scientific quality and (d) clarity. Accepted posters will be presented at the Congress in parallel sessions (more instructions will follow).
